Plant cells
Plant cells are different than animal cells in that they possess two additional organelles that animal cells do not. The first organelle, the chloroplasts, take in energy from the sun and turn them into energy, much like photosynthesis. The second cell is the cell wall, which gives the plant cell an additional structure that animal cells do not need or require.
Cell Wall:
Main Gate:
The cell wall is tough organelle that surrounds the body of certain cells and gives it a structural framework. This is similar to Jurassic Park's main gate, which controls what foreign intruders pass or get rejected. It also isolates the park from the inside to outside, similar to the cell wall.
Chloroplasts:
Geothermal Power Plant:
The chloroplasts are organelles only present inside plant cells. They absorb energy from the sun, and then convert it into the main energy to power the plant cells. In Jurassic Park, the Geothermal Power Plant provides the main energy for the park, but instead of using solar power, the plants use the steam and heat compression power from the ground instead. It is also one of two sources of power for our cell, along with the mitochondria. Both are separate, yet important power producers for the cell, or park.
